Evangelist Daniel Oppong from Asante Akropong claimed at People’s Assembly in Sunyani that he had a revelation from God that the woes of the nation could be attributed to bad government and bad ministers of the gospel.
According to Evangelist Oppong, God revealed to him that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) criticised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government when the NPP was in opposition and so if the NPP government did what the Rawlings administration allegedly did, then God would curse the Kufuor administration if it was found to have misused state resources for selfish ends.
Commenting on Evangelist Oppong’s statement, President Kufuor dismissed any suggestion that God would curse him and the agents of his government if they dipped their hands into the national coffers and used state resources for their personal aggrandisement.
