Own a house before you become president – Lecturer tells politicians

Political Scientist and lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr. Bossman Asare has called on politicians particularly those with presidential ambitions to own a house of their choice before contesting in presidential elections.

In an interview with Kaakyire Ofori Ayim on Atinka FM’s “Simpieso” on Tuesday , he mentioned that any person who cannot afford a deserving house or home for a President is not worth the presidency.

Dr. Bossman Asare also said Ghana needs not follow such path because moving forward there would be more ex-presidents, explaining that they should follow the same trend as the Judges do.

And that every former President should be able to build or buy his or her own house. He mentioned that even assemblymen are able to build a house for themselves and as well live a comfortable living
