Otumfuo clocks 64

All roads lead to the Manhyia Palace, the official seat of the Asantehene, today, May 6, as Otumfuo Osei Tutu II celebrates his 64th birthday.

The Asantehene would receive august visitors that would present special gifts and wish him well.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu would also make special presentations to some selected people, DAILY GUIDE has gathered.

According to sources, the Manhyia Palace has lined up several activities to coincide with the celebration of the15th anniversary of the enstoolment of Otumfuo.

The Asantehene, after exchanging pleasantries with dignitaries at the Manhyia Palace, would cut the sod for work to begin on the Osei Tutu II University College at Asokwa, a suburb of Kumasi.

He would host some selected people at a party at the Manhyia Palace Gardens later in the day.

The Asantehene is the son of Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi Serwah Ampem, who would be 107 years in September, this year.
