Offinso (Ash), March 2, GNA – The death is reported at Offinso Saint Patrick’s Hospital on Wednesday of Mr Daniel Asamoah, the Offinso District Chief Farmer and member of the Board of Directors of Nwabiagya Rural Bank.
He was 74.
Mr Asamoah, a statesman and educationist, was the founder of Dwamena Akenten Secondary School in Offinso.
He contributed immensely towards the creation of a new district capital for the Offinso District and sponsored the education of many brilliant but needy students in the District who currently occupy some enviable positions both inside and outside the country. Mr Asamoah left behind a wife and seven children. Burial and final funeral rites would be announced later.
