NSS streamlines registration process

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has made moves to facilitate early registration for prospective personnel, after postings had been released.

Mrs Jennifer Appiah-Bempah, Acting Ashanti Regional Director of NSS, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that NSS registration, will for the first time start from July 9 this year and end in September – two clear months before the commencement of the service.

She said the old arrangement, where personnel had to register in September and start working the same month brought pressure at the registration centers, District and Regional offices.

Mrs. Appiah-Bempah, advised personnel to patiently wait for their turn to register and accept postings to deprived areas where their services were mostly needed.

She warned impostors, who collect monies from people and deceive them that they would use their connections at the various secretariats to influence postings, to desist from such acts since the NSS would not spare them when caught.
