NPP will find solutions to economic mess – Karbo

The Former Youth Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP), Anthony Abayifaa Karbo has said Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s open criticism of the Ghanaian economy is to expose the deep ills of governance, which he believes the Mahama-led government has plunged the country into.

He’s reiterated that the NPP running mate for the 2016 elections per his hold on economic matters seeks to address the overwhelming challenges that has bedeviled the country, adding that the anchor can no longer hold for what he says is an “ailing economy”.

Bawumia had at an event in London alleged that investors were fast losing confidence in Ghana’s economy.

Karbo told Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.3 FM that the claim can’t be far from the truth.

“We exposing the ills of society is the beginning of finding solutions to our problems.

“If we don’t address corruption, we’ll still return to ground zero. The core of the issue is that corruption has taken a centre stage in the NDC govt, and they should be able to rectify them.”
