NPP-sponsored demo to destroy NDC won’t work – Solomon Nkansah

The continuous NPP-sponsored demonstrations to frustrate the John Mahama-led administration is an infantile strategy, Communications Officer for the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC), Solomon Nkansah has said.

Nkansah contends that the NPP had a track record of going on and sponsoring needless political demonstrations against Mahama’s government, but adds that such motives were rather weak, and cannot destroy the NDC.

His comment was on the back of yesterday’s demonstration of some fairly aged women in Kumasi to protest the worsening power crisis.

“Yes we are democratic; and we are in a free state, but we must thread cautiously lest you invoke curses on yourself,” he told Kwaku Owusu Agyei on Kasapa FM’s Si Me So.

He says he’s worried that the Ashanti region is becoming a political ecosystem for “cheap political campaigning”.

“It is shameful that Kumasi is the first city to organize grand Mummies and Daddies demonstration,” Nkansah questions to discount the Oldies demo yesterday.”
