NPP Constituency Chairman dies in fatal accident

The Ahafo Ano South West Constituency Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Anthony Osei Yaw Akoto is reported dead after he was involved in a fatal accident.

Sources disclosed to ultimate1069.com that the NPP stalwart died at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) where he was receiving treatment after sustaining multiple injuries from the accident.

According to family sources, he was monitoring the limited registration exercise on Monday when a vehicle he was driving somersaulted several times during a tour of his constituency.

He was said to have suffered several injuries in the ribs and the neck, and was receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency Centre at KATH.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who confirmed the story, said the party will be visiting the constituency tomorrow to meet with the family so that the necessary funeral arrangements could be made.

Mr. Antwi Boasiako said the party would dearly miss the late chairman because he was a hardworking and dedicated chairman who executed his duties expeditiously.
