No community will be neglected – DCE

Adoosu (Ash), Jan 25, GNA – Mr Francis Dorpenyoh, the Adansi South District Chief Executive, has said the government of the New Patriotic Party would not neglect any community in the sharing of the national cake.

He said this when a cross section of the people of Adoosu complained that governments had failed to help in the development of the area during a visit to the community as part of his tour of the district.

Mr J.M. Amoah, the chairman of the unit committee, had told the District Chief Executive that governments had failed to fulfil promises made to them despite the fact that the area contributed immensely to the growth of the cocoa industry. “We have not neglected the area and the government, in sharing the national cake, will not forget the people of Adoosu”, Mr Dorpenyoh said.

He said the poor road network in the area was one of the major problems confronting the district and that the assembly was making efforts to purchase a grader to work regularly on the roads. “The assembly is committed to improve conditions in the rural communities. That is my vision”, he said.

Mr Dorpenyoh asked the people to form neighbourhood watch committees to help in enhancing security in the area since stealing of cocoa beans was on the increase in cocoa growing areas.
