Newly installed Chief of Upper Dixcove promises dev’t

Obrempon Hima Dekyi XIV, the new paramount chief of upper Dixcove traditional area in the Western Region has promised his subjects numerous development projects within the first decade of his reign.

The new paramount chief has also assured the communities of good leadership, A disciplined society and peaceful coexistence.

Obrempon Dekyi XIV, gave the assurance during a non denominational thanksgiving service in his honour to express gratitude to God for choosing a leader after the death of Nana Hima Dekyi XIII about a decade ago.

The deceased king introduced lots of development and social intervention projects like the hospital in the area, which now serves hundreds of people from surrounding communities and villages.

The new ruler said he would concentrate on youth employment, health and sanitation and create a home for the homeless, as part of the ten year development plan.

Paapa Owusu Ankomah, MP for Sekondi, entreated Ghanaians not to forget their roots but to constantly stay in-touch and support the development in their area and called on the citizens to cooperate and support the chief in realising the development goals he has for the area.
