NDC raps Ayikoi Otoo

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team member, Alhaji Mohammed Naziru, has slammed the claim of Nii Ayikoi Otoo that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) used bribery as a campaign strategy to win the voters to their side during the 2012 elections.

Mr Ayikoi Otoo was reported to have stated on an Accra FM that his party should learn from the NDC how they have been conducting their campaigns prior to elections; in that they (NDC) wait till few months to elections to buy the votes of Ghanaians with money and a lot of items and then render their three years campaign useless.

But the NDC Communicator discounted the accusation saying “his party does not have time to bribe people for votes because the NDC was nationalistic in nature, where everybody is allowed to play vital roles in the party.

“I am warning the NPP that until they stop winning two regions, they shouldn’t think someone is giving out money to buy votes,” he said.

Disappointed with the astute lawyer’s remarks, the NDC communicator was of the opinion that the NPP has a problem regarding how to package its candidate to win the confidence of Ghanaians, adding that they (NPP) should realize that their candidate had always been a liability.

He urged the NDC to consider the current situation in NPP as divine intervention from God to cause confusion in the main opposition party saying, “this will give us more years to prepare and develop the country very well for the future.”
