NDC holds mammoth victory rally

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday 22nd December held a mammoth victory rally to commemorate the success of the party in the just ended elections.

The rally which was dedicated to the memory of the late President John Atta Mills was on the theme ‘Advancing the Better Ghana Agenda’.

The President Elect John Dramani Mahama and and leader of the NDC was absent but other party stalwarts attended the rally.

Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Joseph Ade Coker said the rally which took place at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre was postponed due to the tension created by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters against the Electoral Commission.

Members of the National Executive of the NDC and all parliamentary candidates graced the victory celebration and thanksgiving to God for a successful victory.

The NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Chairman also assured supporters of the NDC of adequate security and invited supporters of the NPP to come join them celebrate what he described as Ghana’s Victory.

Addressing the supporters who thronged the rally grounds the General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia noted that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo flagberaer of the NPP in the just eneded elections was too old to be President and that he should be conidered as a member of the Council od State.

He added that a seat would be reserved for Nana Addo at the Council of State if he is ready to do away with his all die be die mentality.
