NDC ballots for presidential aspirants

Accra, Dec. 12, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday balloted to determine the position on the ballot paper of the four candidates vying to become the Party’s flagbearer in Election 2008, as it took another step to democratise its activities and make its actions transparent.

Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, Former Defence Minister, would occupy the top of the ballot paper, according to the balloting conducted at the NDC Headquarters.

Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Former Information and Education Minister, would be at the second spot; Professor John Evans Atta Mills, Former Vice President, would be third while Mr Eddie Annan, a Businessman, would be fourth.

The balloting was supervised by the Electoral Commission in the presence of top officials of the Party. Only Mr Annan was present at the balloting.
