NDC Atlanta Welcomes Kofi Adams’ Reinstatement

We the members of NDC Atlanta wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of the great Akatamanso for finally agreeing to reinstate Kofi Adams, the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC after carefully considering the merits of the charges brought against him.

For purposes of reference, we wish to state that on May 10, 2012 members of our Chapter sent a strong appeal to the leadership of the Akatamanso party on what some Ghanaians saw as an apologetic defense of the reinstatement of Kofi Adams. Reference article in the link below;

In the said appeal, we gave a ten point reasons for his reinstatement. Among other reasons, the last two points we presented indicated that, as at the time of petitioning, there was no strong and probable proof that the voice on the tape was that of Kofi Adams. Above all, we indicated that the unity of the Party must be paramount to all and that our government is too big to be brought down by Kofi Adams.
Today, NDC Atlanta joins the many Ghanaians and well wishers in celebrating the reinstatement of Kofi Adams. The decision to reinstate him by the Party Executives goes a long way to show that the party is not just a listening party but also a reconciling family. It is our hope that this gesture will open a new chapter of unity and party cohesiveness especially between the party and the Rawlingses. We also congratulate Mr. Adams for taking the challenge and doing the honorable thing by apologizing to the party over any statements he might have made against its leadership, and implore him not to be unequally yoked, to raise any suspicion in the future.
