Nasara organiser calls for crusade against AIDS

Kasoa (C/R), Nov. 29, GNA – The National Organiser of NPP’s Nasara Club, Alhaji Ibrahim Abu-Sadat Allampaka, has charged regional and district leaders of the club to lead the national crusade against the deadly disease, HIV/AIDS in their areas of jurisdiction.

He said the message that the disease is threatening the existence of the country’s youth who form the bulk and stronghold of the country’s socio-economic force, should sound a serious warning to all Ghanaians and not a handful of politicians and workers who have been entrusted with the administration of the country.

Alhaji Allampaka urged ward, zonal and constituency leaders of the Nasara Club, to hold regular meetings with their members to educate them on the dangers posed by the pandemic and also ask them to spread the news to more people in their communities.

“There is no doubt that AIDS is real and whosoever jokes with it will have himself or herself to blame,” he added.

Addressing members of the Kasoa branch as part of activities that marked the end of Rhamadan festival, Alhaji Allampaka advised Muslims throughout the country to see themselves as one people fighting for a common course of unity, love and peace.

Mallam Siedu Yussiff, chief of Kasoa, also called on Muslims in the community to team up with members of various ethnic groups living in the town to ensure more development in the area.

He assured all ethnic groups in the area of his administration’s co-operation and support for the speedy development of the area.
