Muslims in Oguaa undertake clean-up exercise

Cape Coast, Dec 8, GNA – About 200 members of the Cape Coast branch of the ‘Ahlussuna Wal-Jama’a’, a Muslim sect, on Sunday undertook a five-hour clean-up exercise at the Cape Coast District Hospital to round off the Eid-ul Fitr.

Led by Mr Abubakar Saddique, the group’s chairman, members weeded the hospital premises and scrubbed the wards.

They later presented food items including rice, milk and sugar and disinfectants all worth about 2.5 million cedis to the hospital.

Mrs Irene Acquah, a medical assistant at the hospital who received them, thanked the group for the gesture and appealed to other organisations to assist the hospital.
