Murtala’s Facebook account has been hacked – Ablakwa

Deputy Education minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that the politically explosive comments that were posted on the Facebook account of his colleague deputy minister, Murtala Mohammed, were not written by him but by hackers who hacked into his account.

According to him, the embattled minister has confirmed to his close associates that his Facebook account has been compromised.

A post discovered on the account of the deputy trade minister Thursday alleged that a cabinet minister is on a mission to set up another cabinet minister.

“I ask those sycophantic elements to ask the said MP whether it is ethical to buy a tablet and a mobile phone for a lady friend of a colleague cabinet Minister to get nude pictures of that colleague of his, available WhatsApp messages, text messages and audio,” the post read.

The Facebook text followed an outburst by the Nanton MP on Tamale-based Diamond FM over claims that some NDC MPs are scheming to upset his political career.

Commenting on the Issue, the North Tongu MP said although the development is worrying, he believes calm will prevail.

“I do understand that these things are worrying especially if it involves ministers and the party.

“However, I’m reliably informed by people close to Murtala that his Facebook account has been hacked and that those comments that were posted on his wall do not represent his opinion although he admits granting an interview to a radio station in the northern region,” Ablakwa stated on Metro TV Friday.

He continued:“ I do agree that these things are worrying, but there are mechanisms in the party and in government that are used in resolving matters of this nature”.
