Mpiani bribed assassins to kill me – Ken Agyapong alleges

Maverick NPP Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong says he has uncovered a plot by some individuals close to former Chief of Staff under the Kufuor administration, Kwadwo Mpiani, to assassinate him.

According to the Assin Central MP, the plan is to silence him from his campaign for the two-time presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo in the opposition party’s flagbearer race.

“They gave the guys Ghc8000 at the Kumasi Golden Tulip hotel to kill me because I have insulted Kojo Mpiani and Anane,” he alleged on his Accra-based Radio station Oman FM.

Agyapong further alleged that the personal bodyguard of Mr. Mpiani called and threatened to kill to him for disrespecting his boss.

“Kwadwo Mpiani’s bodyguard called and sent me messages that he will kill me, I saw him at Golden Tulip but am daring them I don’t fear anything, they should try if they are men enough. I am not scared of anybody, me, I don’t value my life so they shouldn’t dare me.

“Fortunately, I have located the bodyguard who threatened to kill me. Interestingly, a prominent person called to inform me about their plans and we have recorded them. I personally gave out the recorder to record them, it was taken from Ash FM,” he stated.
