MP slams Ken Agyepong for endorsing Wontumi’s slaps

Edward Enning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi East is not enthused with the comments of colleague MP for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong hailing Bernard Antwi Boasiako for slapping Collins Owusu Amankwah.

He describes the comments of the maverick MP as ‘naked hypocrisy’ accusing him of double standards which is inimical to the unity of the party.

Speaking to our Accra-based sister station Kasapa 102.3 FM, he slammed Mr. Agyepong who in his comments indicated that Mr. Owusu Amankwah also the MP for Manhyia North deserved more beatings disclosing that he is working against the flagbearer of the party Nana Akufo-Addo and refusing to contribute financially to the course of the NPP and therefore deserves more assaults.

“I wonder why this time round the tables has turned. When Agyapong encountered similar problems with the BNI, we all made sure we were there in our numbers in solidarity with him and to give him our full support. I remember the windscreen of my Lexus vehicle even got smashed at the time. How will Kennedy react if he were to be in the shoes of our colleague MP? The whole world will break loose. I’m amazed that he’s acting callously because he suspects the one involved is someone believed to be against the flagbearer, Nana Addo.” the livid lawmaker told host Fiifi Banson Wednesday.
