MP donates to Adenta Police

Mr Emmanuel Ashie Moore, Member of Parliament (MP) for Adenta on Thursday donated closed- circuit television (CCTV) camera to the Adenta Police District Headquarters and the Adenta Fire Station at the cost of GHc2,200.

Mr Moore said he was touched by the plight of the two institutions hence the donation.

He said the donation would afford them the opportunity to detect fire and theft early, for the necessary action.

Mrs Augustina Apaloo, Adenta Municipal Fire Officer thanked the MP for his continuous support to the institutions.

She said the station, which was opened in 2009 without a fire tender, now has one.

Mrs Apaloo said last year the number of fires that the station responded to was alarming, and that the station would not rest on its oars to ensure public fire safety education in the municipality.
