Minority meets Akufo-Addo

The Minority New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Parliament yesterday visited nana Akufo-Addo, the Party’s 2012 flagbearer at his office at Ringway in Accra.

Members of the Minority, who were in Parliament yesterday, led by their leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, went to Nana Akufo-Addo’s office to officially welcome him back from his long vacation in the United Kingdom.

Their meeting took place behind closed doors.

However, DAILY GUIDE’s sources at the meeting said the meeting was very cordial, as the Minority members, numbering about 60, said they were looking up to hear from the former flagbearer whether he would still lead the party into the 2016 general elections or not.

The Minority members firmly assured him that they will fully support whatever decision he makes on Thursday, March 20 when he would publicly make known his intention, as far as his political future is concerned.

Nana Akufo-Addo was elated to see the MPs, some of whom were his colleagues in Parliament at the time he was MP for Abuakwa South.

He told them that he was in very good health by the Grace of God.

Nana Akufo-Addo was also reported to have told the MPs that he would definitely make a pronouncement about his political future on March 20.

He entreated them to continue to carry the flag of NPP high in Parliament.
