Mim Islamic Primary School cries for support

Mr. Armstrong Amankwaah, head teacher of Mim King Faisal Islamic Primary School in the Asunafo North Municipality on Wednesday appealed for the construction of new classroom blocks for the pupils.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency media tracking team assigned to the Asunafo North Municipality, the head teacher said the old classroom block is a death trap.

Mr. Amankwaah explained that established in 1975, the school had not seen any renovation work, and that the situation is not good for effective teaching and learning, as the sun scorches on the pupils during the dry season, with the rains also flooding the classrooms in rainy seasons.

Mr. Amankwaah said though the Municipal Assembly had promised to support the school, it was however reluctant, and appealed to corporate bodies, associations, as well as non-governmental and civil society organizations to come to their aid.
