Methodist Choir raises 10.3 million cedis for robes

Kumasi, Aug 4, GNA – The Mount Sinai Methodist Church Junior Choir at Dompoase near Kumasi at the weekend raised 10.3 million cedis at a fund-raising organised for the procurement of a new set of choir robes. The ceremony also coincided with the third biennial anniversary celebration of the Junior Choir under the theme, “Arise It Is Your Responsibility to Act”.

Preaching to climax the week-long celebration, Evangelist Paul Frimpong of the Methodist church advised Christians to eschew all forms of social vices to enable them get much closer to God. He also advised persons in positions of trust to avoid self-seeking tendencies and focus more on how best they could render genuine services to the nation.

Evangelist Frimpong said it was when they approach their duties with transparency and honesty that they could be acknowledged as having rendered dedicated services to the nation and God.
