Man remanded in police custody for dealing in narcotics

Sekondi, June 16, GNA – A 38-year-old man, Kobina Yeboah, is in the grips of the police for allegedly dealing in narcotics.

According to the Western Regional Police Public Relations officer, Chief Inspector Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, the suspect was arrested on June 10 at Bibiani in the Western Region.

She said a young man reported the missing of his household items to the Bibiani police and mentioned Yeboah as the suspect.

The police went to the house of Yeboah but met his absence, however when the police conducted a search in the room, they retrieved quantities of dry leaves in a plastic drum suspected to be Indian hemp.

Chief Inspector Adiku said later, Yeboah was arrested by the police and admitted ownership of the dry leaves but denied stealing any item.
