The Accra Circuit Court “B” presided over by His Honour Kwadwo Owusu; Esquire has remanded a 36-year-old Mechanic Michael Addai into prison custody. Addai was charged with incest, which he pleaded not guilty to.
Prosecuting, Inspector E. T Bosion told the Court that Addai had separated from his wife who is his 16-year-old daughter’s mother and had married a new wife. He said Addai forced the victim to come and stay with him and his new wife.
He said it was alleged that Addai takes advantage of his wife’s trading activities that keeps her away most of the time and have sex with his own blood daughter.
According to Inspector Boison, anytime he had sex with her, he would threaten her not to disclose it to anyone else she will die.
Not being able to stand the persistent sexual harassment by his father, she reported to her mother who made a formal report to the police and he was arrested.
Inspector Boison said Addai confessed to a Pastor who asked him to fast for one week for atonement of his sin.
