Man lynched to death for stealing a goat

The Sunyani District Police Command is appealing to members of the general public, especially residents of Sunyani, to assist the police to identify a man who was lynched recently.

The deceased, believed to be in his early 30s, was found in a pool of blood at Sunyani Magazine on November 4, 2014.

He was suspected to have stolen a goat, but was accosted and beaten to pulp by some people.

The unidentified man however managed to escape to the Magazine area where he later died.

According to the Sunyani District Police Crime Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kingsley Wiredu, the body of the deceased have been deposited at the Regional Hospital Mortuary.

Meanwhile, DAILY GUIDE has learnt that the police are planning to bury some unidentified bodies, which have been the morgue for some time now in a mass grave.
