Man commits suicide at Asamanketewa

A man believed to be in his 40’s has committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree at Asamanketewa, a community in the Akuapem North District of the Eastern region.

The incident happened Wednesday evening around 7:30pm.

The man who is yet to be identified, was found hanging on a tree wearing a shoe and well dressed.

The body of the deceased has been conveyed to the Koforidua Government Hospital morgue.

Residents who spoke to Starr News’ Eastern regional correspondent Kojo Ansah said the deceased is not known in the community.

The Police in Nkurakan is therefore calling on families with missing persons to report at the Police station for identification while investigations continue.
