Kpando (V/R), Oct. 19, GNA- A 47-year-old man, Kwesi Sakpaku, alias Agbo has been arrested by the Kpando Police for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old girl in a public toilet at Kpando. Mr. Joy Afagbedzi, Inspector of Police in charge of Volta Region Police Public Relations told the GNA that on September 23, this year, the victim went to the public toilet to attend to nature’s call. Mr. Afagbedzi said the accused after the act warned the victim not to disclose it to anybody but she reported her ordeal to her parents, who in turn reported Sakpaku to the Police leading to his arrest. He said Sakpaku would be arraigned before court as soon as investigations are completed. Mr. Afagbedzi bemoaned the rate of defilement and rape cases in the region and called for stiffer punishment for such deviants to serve as a deterrent to others.
