Mahama’s summary of President Erdogan’s visit

Over time, Turkey and Ghana have forged a relationship that reflects a partnership among equals. The visit of Turkey’s President, HE Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has made this partnership stronger.

We signed four agreements on promotion and protection of Investments, on cooperation in sports, on cooperation in the field of communications, and on cooperation in the energy area. These four agreements prove that the relationship between Ghana and Turkey is a partnership for the 21st century.

As a symbol of this deepened partnership, President Erdo?an and I cut the sod for a new project, the Terminal 3 building at the Kotoka International Airport.

Starting a new project is always emotional, especially when the project is transformational. This is why I strongly believe that the friendship between Ghana and Turkey will be enhanced by this new project, to the benefit of both our great nations.
