Mahama begins 2-day retreat with ministers in Ho

President John Mahama and his ministers are spending Friday and Saturday at a retreat to prepare for the heavy schedule ahead in the last year of his first term presidency.

The retreat, which is also being attended by Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Presidential Advisers and Staffers, will offer an opportunity to review strategies for the implementation of key policies earmarked in the 2016 Budget and other initiatives outlined for outdooring in the State of the Nation Address.

The Ho retreat will end with a health walk on Saturday.

The retreat comes at a time when the government has been heavily criticized for some of its recent decisions such as the fuel price increases and the country’s decision to host two former Guantanamo detainees.
