Madina Police Commander calls on La Nkwantanang-Madina Mantse

Nii Kotei Djor I, La Nkwantanang-Madina Mantse, has called on the Police to help rid the area of social deviants to help ensure the safety of the residents.

He said the activities of narcotic drug sellers and users, criminals and other social misfits including commercial sex workers are making the area unsafe for residents and traders.

Nii Djor made the call when the Madina Divisional Police Commander, ACP Charles Domanban, called on him to introduce himself as the new Police Commander of the area.

He also expressed concern about the activities of land guards who have been harassing property developers in the area.

Nii Djor urged the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly to ensure that developers obtained requisite building permits before embarking on their building projects.

ACP Domanban assured the chief and the public that the police will work tirelessly to root out criminals in the area to ensure peace and development.

He expressed the hope that the traditional authorities would co-operate with the police to make the area safe to enable law abiding residents to go about with their activities without fear.
