LMVCA won’t picket anymore if … – Sammy Awuku

The National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Sammy Awuku has hinted on a total cancellation of the Let My Vote Count Alliance’s decision to picket at the EC’s premises, should there be a fruitful resolution at tomorrow’s IPAC meeting.

The Let My Vote Count pressure group in its failure to petition the Electoral Commission over a new voters register, is in talks with their lawyers to fix a new date for the demonstration and has also announced its intention to seek an interpretation of the police injunction from the Supreme Court.

But in an interview with Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni, Sammy Awuku noted that, the pressure group might throw its weight behind any association who shares their views.

He said the outcome of the IPAC meeting will form the basis for the pressure group’s next line of action.

“In our failure to submit our petition to the EC, we might support other political parties ahead of the IPAC meeting and a fruitful outcome will mean there will be no need for the picketing but the group won’t hesitate to hit the streets should there be an unfavorable outcome,” Sammy said.
