Let’s maintain peace – Sheik Imam Abdul

The National President of Tijjaniya Ghana, Sheik Imam Abdul Wadud Haroun Ciessey also known as Zeam Harkatul Tijjaniya has admonished the Zongo Youth to conduct themselves well to avoid any pre and post electoral conflict in Zongo communities in particular and in the nation at Large.

He was speaking at a 48th annual celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed under the able leadership of Sheik Imam Abdul Wadud at Aboabo Post Office park at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The occasion was graced by a lot of dignitaries from all walks of life including the world wide Imam of Tijjaniya Shiek Tijjani Ciesse, the President, H.E John Dramani Mahama, the vice presidential candidate of the biggest opposition party Dr. Alhaji Mahmudu Bawumia, The National Chief Imam Dr. Alhaji Nuhu Osman Shaributu and Imams and Zongo Chiefs across the country.

The Sama Nkwahene who represented Asantehene also added that, the devil should not be allowed to destroy the harmonious relationship between the Zongo communities and the Ashantis in the region which had existed for decades.

The occasion which came to an end on Sunday April 3, 2016, saw a float through the principal streets of Aboabo to the residence of Imam Abdul Wadud for the final (dua) prayers to disperse the crowd.
