Komla Dumor memorial service to be held on Jan. 17

A special, one-year memorial service is to be held on January 17, for late Ghanaian broadcaster Komla Dumor.

A statement issued in Accra says the service will take place at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka from 8:00am.

An important ceremony, it comes exactly a year after his passing. Dumor died at his London home on January 18, 2014. His death left many broken.

He left behind three children.

It’s been one year since our dearly beloved Komla Akefe Dumor passed on.

As we prepare to mark the first anniversary, the Dumor and Allied Families in concert with the Board of Trustees of the Komla Dumor Memorial Foundation wish to inform all Ghanaians as well as well-wishers around the world, that a special Memorial Service for the Icon of African Broadcast Journalism, Komla Afeke Dumor will be held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabrakah Accra, beginning 8:00am, on Saturday, 17th January 2015.
