Kofi Wayo suspects sabotage in latest energy crisis

The inadequate energy and water supply situation is a source of concern to all sectors of the economy and households.

The extent of the crisis has caught the attention of the Leader of the United Renaissance Party, Kofi Wayo, who says President Mahama must get tough with the service providers because he suspects sabotage.

In a related development, a Scientist and Technocrat, Dr Joseph Kweku Debitey Annan has called on government to ensure that efficiency runs through all stages of planning and implementation in the gas, oil and energy sectors.

Dr. Annan told Radio Ghana there is the need for captains in the industry to conform to standards.

Meanwhile, the senior Public Relations Officer, Accra West of the Electricity Company of Ghana, Eric Asante, says though the company is making efforts to address the power crises in the country, it cannot assure the public of uninterrupted power supply during the World Cup tournament.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Asante appealed to the public to bear with the company as it seeks to address the challenges in the Power sector.
