Kofi Manu to contest NDC Chairmanship position

Medeama Director of Operations Kofi Manu has declared his intention to contest the Brong Ahafo regional chairmanship position of the ruling National Democratic Congress.

The experienced and highly-respected football administrator, who is a dyed in the wool supporter of the ruling government in Ghana, hopes to use his image to win the seat.

The former Aduana Stars Chief Executive has confirmed he will contest for the top position in a bid to help the ruling NDC to consolidate their gains in the swing region.

“I can confirm to you that I will contest for the NDC chairmanship position in the Brong Ahafo region,” he told Happy FM.

“After thorough consultations, I believe I’m the right man for the job. I have been a key member of the NDC for many years and have served the party in many capacities and so I think the time is ripe for me to ascend the seat.

“The 2016 elections will be very tough and you need tough men to ensure we win the region again. “And so I’m going to contest.”

Manu, nicknamed, Blue-Boy’ is a member of the Ghana Premier League Board.

He is a well travelled man having worked with clubs like Berekum Arsenal, Ashgold, before guiding Aduana Stars to win the Premier League in their debut season, which is a Ghanaian top flight league record.
