Kofi Kwei launches development plans

The chiefs and people of Kofi Kwei near Amasaman in the Ga South Municipality have climaxed their Homowo Festival with a launch of a four-year development plan estimated at about 30,000 Ghana cedis.

Nii Daniel Krowey, Secretary, speaking to the Ghana News Agency, said projects envisaged included the construction of a clinic, public place of convenience, chief’s palace, market and a police post.

He said the projects would be financed through self-help contributions of 50.00 Ghana cedis per male and 20.00 Ghana cedis per female and would be supported with communal labour.

Nii Krowey said the chief and his elders had offered land for the projects.

Mr William Vinyo, Nkosuohene (development chief) had already donated 50 bags of cement towards the projects.
