Kamal Issah linked with domestic switch to Samaleswari SC

Ghanaian midfielder Kamal Issah is being linked with a move from Real Kashmir to Indian Football League club Samaleswari SC.

The 34-year-old defensive midfielder has been with Real Kashmir since joining the club on 25 October 2023, having been without a club before the move. The reported transfer would keep Issah in India’s top domestic competition while ending his current spell in Kashmir.

Issah has made 46 Indian Football League appearances, scoring three goals and providing five assists. He has also played in Turkey, Norway, Denmark and France during a career that began with Ghanaian club Liberty Professionals before his move to Rennes in 2010.

The midfielder spent time with several Turkish clubs, including Istanbulspor, Ankaraspor-based side Keciorengucu, Genclerbirligi and Eskisehirspor, before joining Swedish club Ostersund in March 2022. He returned to competitive football in India with Real Kashmir the following season.

No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the move remains a rumour rather than a confirmed transfer. Issah’s listed market value is €125,000, while no contract expiry date is stated.

For now, Issah remains a Real Kashmir player, with Samaleswari SC identified as the club linked with a possible move.
