Jomoro Assembly honours 10 hard working students

The Jomoro District Assembly, with the support of the District Education Directorate, has awarded 10 students and two schools with cash and certificates for good academic performance.

The awardees excelled in 2010-2011 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and an easy competition.

The Nzemaman Complex JHS and Twenen District Assembly JHS were awarded for scoring 100% in the 2010-2011 BECE.

They were each given GHC100 and a certificate of commendation.

Joseph Amornu of Kegen District Assembly JHS and Priscilla Dankwa of New Generation Complex at Elubo were the best male and female students in 2010-2011 BECE respectively.

They were each presented with GHC150.00 and a certificate.

Mr Robert Esson and Vida Eshun both of Half Assini Senior High were the best students in last year’s WASSCE and were each awarded GHC300 as their prize.

Master Augustus Quarcoe and Mary Ampiah both of Nzemaman Complex were the best students in Reading and Comprehension Competition organised by the District Office of the Ghana Education Service (GES) for primary schools.

Master Lawrence Azanboah of Allengenzule Junior High School and Rita Enu of Nzemaman Complex were adjudged the best at JHS level.

At the Senior High level, Isaac Amponsah of Half Assini Senior High and Salomey Tetteh of Annor Adjaye Senior High at Ezinlibo were the best students.
