JJ denies mediating child custody battle

The Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings has denied intervening in a child custody battle between his daughter Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings and former partner Herbert Mensah.

A rejoinder signed by Mr Kobina Andoh Amoakwa of the Communication Directorate of the former President’s office said: “I write in my capacity as an aide to His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings to express my concern over your publication of Saturday, November 28, 2015 titled ‘JJ Mediates child custody fight’.

“I wish to state that the contents of your publication are totally false and a figment of your media house’s imagination,” and cautioned the media to be circumspect in drawing Mr Rawlings into a matter that is currently before the court.

According to the statement, “Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings is very capable of handling issues concerning her private life.”
