Jejeti robbery: Police arrest one more suspect

The Eastern Regional Police Command has arrested one more robber believed to be a member of a gang that attempted to rob passengers of a VIP bus on the Accra-Kumasi Road on Sunday.

The attack left passengers of the bus and other commercial vehicles visibly shaken.

The Anyinam police with the help of residents arrested four members of the gang and mounted a manhunt for the rest.

TV3’s correspondent Yvonne Neequaye reports that a Nigerian linked to the robbery was arrested on Thursday.

He was arrested through a joint collaboration between locals and the police while he was in the bush struggling to heal gunshot wounds on his right thigh.

He is expected to be arraigned before court as soon as possible.
