I’ve a cordial relationship with Asiedu Nketia – Kofi Adams

An aspiring National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Kofi Adams, has dismissed reports of tension between him and the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.

According to him, media reports in recent times have tend to exaggerate the atmosphere between them.

There are speculations of hostilities between the two national executives of the ruling party.

Nketia’s recent admonition to delegates of the party to ditch certain candidates in the upcoming national executive elections has been perceived by some people as an attack on Adams and other candidates canvassing for positions in the national executive body of the party.

But speaking to Okay FM, Thursday, the deputy general secretary of the ruling party said the media misunderstood his boss.

“General Mosquito and I have very good relationship. We work together and have very cordial relationship.”

“I think that people misunderstood what he meant by his comments. I don’t think he was referring to me at all,” he stated.
