Ghana’s Minister of Communication, Hon. Sam George, has firmly denied owning a vehicle currently circulating in a viral video, dismissing claims linking him to it as “completely false.”
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, July 17, the minister addressed the speculation head-on, clarifying that the luxury vehicle in question, spotted with a number plate reading ‘DJATA’, has no connection to him.
“My attention has been drawn to this video and attempts to suggest the said vehicle belongs to me. The claim is FALSE!” he wrote.
Sam George, known for spelling his nickname as “DZATA”, used the moment to humorously set the record straight, adding, “Anyone who knows me knows I spell my name as DZATA, not DJATA as on the number plate. I appreciate those hoping I have bought a new car this year but I have not bought one yet.”
The minister also shifted attention to what he described as his immediate priority, his ongoing engagement with DSTV over consumer concerns.
“My focus for now is on the response from DSTV which is due latest by Monday, 21st July 2025,” he stated.
