I’m young but can lead Kwabre East – Oteng-Mensah

Twenty-two-year-old Francisca Oteng-Mensah who has been elected parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Kwabre East constituency has hit back at her critics, saying she is cut for the job.

The level 200 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology defeated incumbent MP for the constituency, Kofi Frimpong by polling 321 votes as against 202 for Osei-Poku.

The incumbent Frimpong had 187 while the other contender Adjei- Sefa managed 33.

But Oteng-Mensah in an exclusive interview with Starr News’ Ashanti regional correspondent Isaac Bediako said she is ready for the mission ahead.

“It’s not just about me, it’s going to be all of us, we are all going to work together to see how best we can improve Kwabre East, so as for experience I am asking people to put that aside”.

Oteng-Mensah added that she is still considering deferring her education at KNUST or combining it with her parliamentary work if she is elected into the Law House in next year’s election.
