I’m not dead; why do people want me dead – Benyiwa Doe

“I’m not dead. I’m fine. I don’t know why Ghanaians want me dead”, says Council of State member Ama Benyiwa Doe.

She was rumoured to have passed away Thursday night.

XYZ Newsroom was inundated with calls from the public for confirmation of the rumour.

The former Central regional minister sounded expectant of calls from media houses over the rumour when XYZ News spoke to her on the phone.

No sooner had XYZ News mentioned the rumour than she started laughing it off.

She said her long silence in the media appears to have given people the wrong impression that she had passed away.

According to Benyiwa Doe, her current position as a member of the Council of state bars her from indulging in politics as before, thus her long absence from the media scene.
