ICGC holds 2015 Life Walk

The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) on Saturday held its annual Life Walk to raise funds to support the treatment of children with cancer at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

Aside raising funds to support a worthy cause, such as the treatment of children with cancer, the Life Walk is also a form of physical exercise for members of the church to keep them healthy.

Members of the Kingdom Temple of ICGC in Tamale walked for two and a half hours covering a distance of about four kilometres, starting from its premises at SSNIT quarters through the Tamale main town to the Tamale Teaching Hospital and back to the SSNIT quarters.

Reverend Peter Enibo Gagara, Area Supervising Minister of ICGC in Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions, said cancer treatment was expensive and many parents could not afford it hence the church’s decision to raise funds to support such a worthy cause.

Reverend Gagara emphasized the need for members of the church to lead lifestyles that would keep them healthy and prayed to God to touch and heal the sick in society.

After the walk, members of the church were educated on diabetics.
