Mohammed Kudus says he is at Tottenham to “entertain the fans” after a dazzling debut in which he provided two assists in Spurs’ 3-0 Premier League win over Burnley.
The Ghanaian winger was quick to play down his role in Richarlison’s brace, insisting the Brazilian striker deserved credit for making his delivery look better than it was.
“The most important thing was to get the three points, and we did,” Kudus said after the game. “As a winger, one of my responsibilities is to serve the strikers. I don’t think it was a perfect cross, but he made me look good.”
Kudus added that connecting with the supporters is central to his game. “I came here to entertain the fans, that’s what the game is all about,” he said.
The 23-year-old’s flair and fearless dribbling have already won him admirers in North London, with Spurs fans hopeful he can become a key figure this season.
