(Sunrise: Sept. 10, 1968 Sunset: Dec.29, 2014)

A tribute by Baffour Amoateng to the evergreen memory of our beloved nephew:

In his own good time the God of all Providence, blesses this world with great people whose souls are endowed with innate abilities and willingness to be of selfless service to their Church, their community and their fellow human beings. One such an outstanding personality was our beloved brother, father, husband, uncle, cousin and good friend Akwesi Amponsah Adusei who, at the young age of 46, happily answered God’s call to share his talents and services in the higher courts above.

Akwesi, known and affectionately called “Mr. Niceman”, “Triple A” or simply “Akwess”, was the proud son of Mr. John Adusei and Madam Comfort Nyame of Asafo- Kumasi, Ghana. To acquire the right underpinnings for his services to humanity, Akwesi, after his ‘O’ levels, trained as a draughtsman and worked for a while at the Town and Country Planning Department at Ejisu, Ashanti. He was a staunch member of the Calvary Methodist Church at Amakom, Kumasi. He was a Bible Class Leader and also stood tall in the Methodist Youth Fellowship.

At the instance of his bosom friend and mentor, Mr. Kofi Dan Peters, Mr. Niceman left the shores of Ghana in February 2000 to seek the golden fleece in the United States. In pursuit of his craving to continue his service to his Creator, “Akwess” joined the Wesley Methodist Society of the Atlanta Circuit of the Methodist Church Ghana. With his vast experience in church activities, he soon became a founding member of the Atlanta Circuit Men’s Fellowship. In recognition of his abilities, he was inducted into that office as the Organizing Secretary of the Methodist Men’s Fellowship. He satisfactorily spearheaded the Church’s evangelism and outreach mission.

On December 29, 2014, it pleased the Lord Almighty to recall Akwesi Amponsah Adusei by name, to join the hosts of heaven for that special assignments reserved for him. Amposah Adusei agreed with hymnist and said, “If only we could climb to where Moses stood and viewed the landscape over, we would joyfully acknowledge that “not Jordan’s stream nor death’s cold flood should frighten us from that land of pure delight where saint reign forever in undying bodies.

Our brother, our husband, our friend is gone ahead to help prepare that better place for our eternal dwelling in the bosom of our Lord and Savior, so that on that last day when the trumpet shall sound, and time shall be no more, we shall meet on the golden shores never more to part.

Akwesi, Akwess, Triple A, Mr, Niceman, Amponsah Adusei, rest your wearied head on the bosom of our Lord and Savior till me meet again. Our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Stella Adusei, the children and the entire family.

His mortal remains will be interred at Melwood Cemetery & Monuments, 5170 East Ponce De Leon Avenue, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 on Saturday January 24,2015 after funeral Service at Wesley Methodist Church, 5555 Oskbrook Pkwy # 150, Norcross GA 30093
