Hajj Committee extends payment deadline to August 20

The National Hajj Committee (NHC), has announced an extension of payment deadline of the 2014 Hajj to Wednesday August 20.

A statement signed by Mr Ibrahim Abdul Rauf Tanko, Chairman of the Committee and copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra at the weekend said the extension has become necessary due to numerous calls from potential pilgrims and in consultation with Accredited Hajj Agents Association.

It said the fare still remains $ 3450 or GH¢ 9,900 and there has been no increment as being speculated.

The Committee therefore called on prospective pilgrims to pay the money since there would be further extension date.

Originally the deadline for the payment was Friday August 8.
