GSTS Association in North America gives to school

The North America Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) Association, on Thursday, donated a container full of books and other educational materials, estimated at $250,000 to the School, at Takoradi.

Dr. Fynn Johnson, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association, presented the container to Mr. Joseph Budu-Arthur, assistant headmaster of the School, at a short ceremony at the school.

Dr. Johnson said the materials include books on Mathematics, Science, English, and related educational materials, which would assist to improve teaching and learning.

He said the materials were for both students and teachers and urged the students to fully utilize them to become more knowledgeable.

Dr. Johnson said the Association would continue to assist the school to complement the government’s efforts at educating children to take up responsible positions in future.

Mr. Budu-Arthur thanked the Association for going to the aid of the school, whose student population had increased considerably, saying the donation would address the shortfall in educational materials.
